Boracay & Cebu (Day 1 & 2) - Pretty Boracay + Adventurous water activities

We thank God that we were able to get free tickets to The Philippines, kudos to my hubby's effort.
Here is a video link that my hubby made for this trip with his XiaoYi camera.

We took the flight from KLIA 2 to Boracay and spent 4 days 3 night, and route to Cebu via domestic plane from Boracay.

Our tired faces as we woke up very early to take the flight from Johor Bahru to KL and waited for the flight from KLIA to Boracay.

We touch down Kalibo ariport by 3:00 PM, it was only a small airport and got our passport chops.

Our agent pick us up from the exit point and arrange a van to transport us to the Kalibo jetty. There are many agents outside waiting for you to choose from to transit from the airport to jetty and to the island as well. in regards of the price of the transfer, I'm not familiar as ours was covered in the free gift.

The transfer package would include the transfer fee, terminal fee and environmental & admission fee.
After arriving at Boracay island, we took the jeep to the backpackers home that we stayed. The whole transfer starting from Kalibo airport took around 2 and half hours to 3 hours.

We stayed at the MNL beach resort (which is located at station 2) for 2 nights, we booked the double private room via expedia for RM 330 for 2 nights. I only have one picture of the room, which does not show the room size. As seen in the picture below, once you enter the room, the bed would be just beside it. It is a small room with attached bathroom.

The picture on the website does not reflect exactly in reality, do have lower expectation since the price of the room is also lower. It could be quite noisy at night as there are people partying all night, thank God I brought along my ear piece to keep me asleep. It is a backpackers resort, so it is still up to expectations.

Personal rating:
Cleanliness: 3 out of 5
Accessibility:4 out of 5 (just 3-5 minutes walk to the beach)
Washing machine: No
Towels: Yes
Daily cleaning: Not provided

After we checked in and settle down it was already time for dinner, we walk along the beach and we just got any food we saw as we were too hungry. We went for a simple buffet that was 560 Peso for 2 person. The food were simple and I would not recommend this stall.

There was fire show at other restaurants too, we just stand alongside to watch, we went to get our sim card as well which allow us to have data plan in Philippines. The data plan we bought was 7 days for unlimited data that cost us 340 Peso.

We also walk to the famous Talipapa fish market to have a look. This fish market allows you to buy your seafood of your choice and bring it to any stall nearby to cook on the spot.

The next day, we woke up early to have breakfast provided by the resort, a simple yet hearty breakfast. We feed ourselves to the fullest as we schedule snorkeling and island hoping trip for the day.

Hubby enjoying his bread.

We book most of our activities in Boracay with Ms Rizan, she is friendly and provide us with the cost that were reasonable. You could contact her via her email (rizan0104@hotmail.com) or contact(+63 921-738-4089). You could also get any activities booked on the beach itself, there will be many agents walking around to persuade you to join them for the activities.

We took pictures while walking from Station 2 to Station 1, it took us around 10 minutes to walk by foot. You could opt for the "habal Habal" (taxi) but why not walk along the beach and feel the sands. From the picture you could see that they preserve the sea well, it is very clean. The sun was glaring, although it was 8 am, but the heat from the sun was like 12 noon in Malaysia. (Do not forget to apply sunblock to prevent from skin peeling, sunglasses comes in handy too)

We waited for Ms Rizan at Station 1 to take the boat. Most of the activities are located in Station 1 as it is the place where boats stop and pick guests.

We boarded the boat and head towards for snorkeling first.
This package includes (700 peso/pax):
BBQ lunch buffet
2 soft drinks and 1 beer
Snorkeling 2 times (goggles provided)
Puka beach
Crystal cove

If the guest would like to enter Crystal cove then would only require to pay 200peso/pax for entrance to the staff on the boat. The staff would also collect 20peso/pax on the boat for the snorkeling tax. Hence, do remember to bring the cash required.

We then head to Crystal cove, I would say that extra 200 peso per pax to enter this place is worth, as it was really a beauty. The pictures below would show the beauty of the place

This is one of the cove that we could enter to see the sea water splashing into the cove.

We then head for lunch at one of the beach.

The last place we went was Puka beach, it was really a nice beach but it was really too hot for us that we stay under the shades most of the time. Remember to buy some beer to be able to take a seat.
The corn flavour ice cream taste is unique.

We headed back to Boracay island station 1 and went for Parasailing (1200 per pax), it is expensive but worth to try since we have not try it before.

After we completed the parasailing, we were just in time for the sun set parawsailing, without hesitation we hope on to the yacht (200 per pax).

It was really awesome to end our day watching the sunset.

We head to one of the famous local restaurant @Smoke Resto in Dmall for Philippines cuisine dinner, this was when our phone and XiaoYi battery die on us. Didn't manage to capture the picture of the food. We would recommend this stall as the food was really authentic and nice (although it's a bit salty for us).
Check out Day 3 Post here.
