Continuing with my 2nd day post,
Hualien was part of my plan because I saw too many beautiful pictures of Hualien online. We bought the TRA ticket online because the tickets will sold out according to some websites. You can buy the tickets from here.
You will require to proceed with full payment, and you can pick the tickets at Taipei main station, just pick it up at the TRA counter by showing them your passport.
You can buy the tickets from Shulin ---> hualien. There is no ticket from Taipei ----> Hualien, although you will board the train from Taipei main station. It is shown as Shulin is because the first station is Shulin.
The price ticket is NTD 469 per ticket, with approximately 2 & half hours of journey.
We bought some "bian dang" (便当)from 7-eleven as breakfast.
Once we arrive the station, the hotel came to pick us up and fetch us to the hotel, great service from this hotel. Of course the pick up is FOC.
We lodge in Bayview Hotel for a night, highly recommend this hotel because it is located just beside the sea, and they provide bicycles for visitors to ride around the area. Breakfast is also included.
It was NTD 3300 for a ocean view room for 4.
The walk in this Shakadang Trail is 3km, but it is well worthy because it will lead to a beautiful waterfall. |
The beautiful waterfall |
We reach our hotel at 4pm and took a short nap and move on with the Zi Qiang Night market (自强夜市) & Jing Shan Jiao (金山角花莲)for more food.
花连牛排,赞!(Beef Chop, ratings 4 out of 5) The beef chop is well done. |
I cant recall the name of this food, but it is an egg in a puff, it is delicious. Because the egg is half cook, just the type to my liking. |
Not forgetting the taiwan beer, just a sip of it, not to the extend of being drunk :) |
We had another Oyster Omellette, I personally prefer this to the Ximending's version. |
We added this muscle into our "menu", fresh fresh fresh! Good! |
No entrance fee required to this cultural center in Hualien, good to give it a visit since there is not much of night activities in hualien, this centre closes at 9pm.
End this day with a Panaroma view of the Hualien Beach view, which leads to my Day 4 post.
